Gay Pride 2002 celebrated with new low-cost Internet access service called Pride.com

SAN FRANCISCO, June 12, 2002 – PlanetOut Partners, Inc., the parent company of Gay.com and PlanetOut.com, and PeoplePC Inc. (NASDAQ: PEOP) today announced the launch of Pride.com Online, a nationwide Internet service for the gay and lesbian community. The service costs $16.95 a month, significantly less than other nationwide ISPs.

Leveraging PeoplePC's dial-up backbone of 12 of the largest network providers in the country, Pride.com Online boasts more area codes and access points than the three leading ISPs. In addition to fewer busy signals, Pride.com Online membership includes daily news stories of interest to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) community and special discounts from gay and lesbian retailers and publishers. Pride.com Online customer service is available 24 hours a day to answer questions via e-mail and phone.

At $16.95 a month, Pride.com Online is a high-quality alternative offering savings of $36 to $84 a year compared to the two largest ISPs.

PlanetOut Partners will introduce Pride.com Online to the gay and lesbian community at Gay Pride celebrations in Washington, D.C., New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Atlanta.
