PeoplePC and Visa Partner to Offer Complete Computing and Internet Package With New 'Get on the Web' Program

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- PeoplePC, Inc. (Nasdaq: PEOP), the company that makes it easy and affordable to get online, today announced a partnership with Visa U.S.A. to offer Visa cardholders a simple and cost effective way to "Get on the Web." The "Get on the Web" program starts November 1st, 2000 and will offer Visa cardholders the full PeoplePC computer and Internet service package. Additionally, every Visa cardholder who signs up for a PeoplePC membership through March 31, 2001, will receive a special offer on a name-brand color printer for $49 plus shipping and handling when purchased with a Visa card.

During this promotion, Visa cardholders can choose any of the desktop or notebook offerings that PeoplePC provides. All of the offerings include the complete home computing package that accompanies PeoplePC's value proposition: a new name-brand computer, unlimited Internet access, a three-year limited warranty with 24x7 customer service, and access to a variety of leading online retail partners for as little as $24.95 a month for three years.
